Over ons/onze reis

Who am I?

t's hard to tell anything about yourself, since its hard to describe yourself without being too critical, and if you try not being critical, you are often perceived as having an ego too big to fit .
Therefore i will not try to describe too much about my hobby's and how damn fun (or not) i am, but what drives me:

I am a 24yr old male from the netherlands with a broad area of interrests. Most of all i care for history, politics and the causes behind global conflicts. What can we learn to prevent them? Why are mistakes made not once, but 10 times over?

On highschool these interrests in these conflicts and to somehow prevent them made me apply for the army, which i was denied on health reasons.
As an alternative i began to study medicine, as a different path to the same means.

Now on the end of my study, there are a few options avaliable to actively persue my interrests. (doctors without borders etc.). But i can't leave to wonder if that would be the best path, since one of the most important lessons medicine thaught me, is that prevention is better then the cure.

Hobby's:
Travelling (no really?)
Skiïng, yep, nothing beats speeding down a slope with icicles in your moustache and your tears leaving icy trails on your cheek.
Computer games, yes. relax time IS important.
Books Fantasy, history and journalistic books. (i can recommend Fisk's book, "the great war for civilisation", which also will be the only book i will bring allong my travels).
News/ politics Reading up on the latest developments, discussions etc.
Music Songs that actually HAVE lyrics, not the same line repeated from front to end twenty times. Songs which catch you, breath, make you feel them. This could range from classical to heavy metal.
 

Origin:
I come from a small village called Geffen, from a simple family.  Neither of my parents went to university but both work hard for a living. Both have a passion for travelling, A passion which transcends to me.
My brother is currently in training to become a biology teacher.

Study:
Currently i am in the 6th grade of my medicine study and for my last intern i will go to indonesia. Apart from this i still need to do my scientific research before i get to graduate, my subject is still undediced.

Living:
Currently i live in Nijmegen, together with my girlfriend Sanne and my 2 cats, Fantus and Apache.
